The version 2 of the RFIDAA Membership Directory is coming out in June 2008 - this is your chance to be part of our new web site and promotion of members.

Early in 2006, RFIDAA embarked on the development of an Australian adoption program for RFID related technologies, systems and services.

We now invite interested companies to become RFIDAA members and profile for us your capabilities to help interested organisations anticipate, understand and implement RFID. As the Peak National Body serving as the point for contact for government and international RFID contact, RFIDAA will play a significant facilitation role in linking user needs to members’ capabilities.

Following initial industry and government surveys and feedback sessions, there is need for assistance in the following categories:

  • RFID education services
  • RFID technical expertise
  • RFID related services
  • RFID based solutions

Further criteria for eligibility to this Directory will be included on our web site in line with input from our members and end users. We also appreciate the participation and support from our Foundation Sponsors to help us grow our profile and influence.

Our program of end user promotion going into 2007 involves

  • working closely with Foundation Sponsors on programs specific to their objectives;
  • continuing our liaison role with  Government
  • providing leadership to industry associations
  • participation in industry forums and events
  • conducting RFIDAA endorsed meetings, exchanges and networking.

We appreciate the continued support from the Victorian Government through participation in overseas trade shows and missions. We also appreciate the continued and complimentary relationship with EPCGlobal in Australia.

You will have seen many new and exciting Australian publications, articles and case studies appear in 2006. Industry research indicates strong growth around the global for RFID based automation and enablement.

We believe RFID is critical to sustaining the competitiveness of Australian business and invite those of you supporting this view to help us complete our Capabilities Directory.
